Bangladesh Marine Academy Chittagong including all other marine academies to apply online to participate in the admission test students must have the minimum qualification. Information regarding the eligibility of admission to Marine Academies is mentioned below.
Educational Qualification: Minimum 3.50 GPA in SSC and HSC examination separately from science stream. Minimum 3.50 GPA in Mathematics and Physics separately and minimum 3.00 in English in HSC examination. Average IELTS score should be 5.5 instead of English subject.
For English Medium Students: A minimum of grade A in three and grade B in two out of five subjects at O Level. A level students must pass with a grade of B in at least two subjects.
(Mathematics and Physics subjects must be covered in both the exams)
Physical Qualification: Minimum height 5 feet 4 inches for boys and 5 feet 2 inches for girls. Weight should be as per BMI list provided by World Health Organization. (BMI minimum value is 17 and maximum value is 27)
Vision: 6/6 for Nautical Cadets and 6/12 for Engineering Cadets (must be 6/6 with glasses)
Marital Status: Single
Citizenship: Must be Bangladeshi male or female

Marine Academy Admission Exam Process
Marine Academy, Maritime Academy and Marine Fisheries Academy will conduct admission test in the same manner. Information regarding the admission test procedure and manning is given below.
Admission test of total 300 marks will be held. Where the multiple choice exam marks are 100 and SSC and HSC exam GP marks are 200 marks. 15 times the GPA of SSC examination, maximum 75 and 25 times the GPA of HSC examination maximum 125.
Admission test will have total 200 MCQs. The total duration of the exam is two hours and the total marks are 100. Questions will be asked in the admission test as Physics (25 marks), Mathematics (25 marks), Bengali (10 marks), English (25 marks) and General Knowledge (15 marks).
Candidates who have passed the MCQ examination will undergo physical examination. And only those who qualify the physical test will be called for the oral test.
Students must secure minimum 50% marks to pass the entrance exam. The students with minimum marks will be given the opportunity to get admission by preparing the merit list.
